Candidates vying for Brazil’s presidency engaged in a variety of campaign activities over the weekend, from public rallies and motorcades to interviews and visits with various community groups. The busy schedule saw hopefuls presenting proposals, interacting with voters, and addressing key national issues.

Romeu Zema (Novo) focused on infrastructure proposals during a visit to Feliz, Rio Grande do Sul, on Saturday, and later highlighted the importance of agriculture at the Expointer fair near Porto Alegre on Sunday, pledging strong support for agricultural insurance.

Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) immersed himself in the agribusiness sector at the Festa do Peão de Barretos in São Paulo, advocating for expanded rural insurance and infrastructure investments. He concluded his weekend with a march on São Paulo’s Avenida Paulista.

Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO) launched his candidacy at the Metalworkers’ Union in Porto Alegre, using social media to promote his platform, which includes reforms to the penitentiary system and opposition to lowering the age of criminal responsibility.

Samara Martins (UP) held a walkabout with supporters in Mauá, São Paulo, and met with a residents’ association. Her Sunday involved participating in a motorcade in João Pessoa, Paraíba.

Wilson Grassi (Democratas) had a quieter public campaign weekend, opting for a street race on São Paulo’s Ponte Estaiada on Sunday, where he also promoted health and well-being through social media.

Augusto Cury (Avante) released his campaign jingle and met with Rio de Janeiro residents on Saturday, also participating in a televised interview. On Sunday, he attended an event focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (TEA) in São Paulo before heading to Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, for meetings with local entrepreneurs and a visit to an agricultural fair.

Clariana Barão (DC) and Edmilson Costa (PCB) did not have public campaign schedules announced for the weekend. Costa, however, posted a video on social media advocating against the 6×1 work shift scale.

Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) was active with a motorcycle and boat parade in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro. On Sunday in São Paulo, he met with El Salvador’s Minister of Justice, Gustavo Villatoro, praising the country’s public security model and stating his intention to expand prison capacity if elected. He was scheduled for a televised interview later that evening.

Hertz Dias (PSTU) participated in a televised interview and visited a student center in Natal on Saturday, focusing on art, culture, and combating sexism. His Sunday involved an online plenary session for the launch of youth candidacies.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) addressed issues of unpaid labor, particularly by women, at a national women’s gathering in Belo Horizonte on Saturday, emphasizing its economic contribution. His Sunday was dedicated to recording campaign programs in Brasília.

Renan Santos (Missão) held a motorcade and rally in São Paulo, promoting a unified electronic health record for the SUS to improve disease prevention and reduce waiting times. He had no public agenda on Sunday.
